Responsible Use Policy
VidoSave is intended for lawful, authorized use of supported public media links. This policy explains the principles users should follow before saving, copying or reusing media through the service.

Technical availability is not the same as legal permission
A media file may be technically reachable from a public page without being free to copy, redistribute, republish, monetize or use for another purpose. Copyright, licensing terms, privacy rights, contractual restrictions and source-provider rules can still apply.
VidoSave therefore expects users to evaluate their own rights before using the service. The fact that a link can be processed does not create ownership, a license, permission or an exception to applicable law.
Examples of responsible use
The examples below illustrate common situations that may be appropriate when the user has the necessary rights or permission.
Saving your own media
Keeping a local backup of a video or audio file you created or lawfully control.
Creator-authorized downloads
Saving media when the creator or other rights holder has expressly allowed you to do so.
Downloads permitted by the source
Using a download or save option when the source provider expressly permits that action for the specific media.
Using content under a valid license
Saving content when the applicable license actually covers the download and intended use.
Creator or team archiving
Backing up media for a creator, business or team when you are authorized to manage that content.
Other legally permitted uses
Using media when a lawful exception or other valid legal basis applies to the particular facts and jurisdiction.
Uses that conflict with responsible operation
VidoSave should not be used as a tool to obtain or exploit media in ways that disregard rights, access restrictions or applicable rules.
- Unauthorized copying or redistribution. Do not use VidoSave to copy, republish, sell or distribute media when you lack permission or another lawful basis.
- Private or restricted content access. Do not use the service to seek access to private accounts, password-protected material, paywalled access or other non-public media.
- Circumventing access controls. Do not attempt to bypass authentication, technical restrictions, digital access controls or security measures.
- Credential collection or misuse. Do not provide platform passwords, session credentials or another person’s private account information to VidoSave.
- Harassment or privacy abuse. Do not use downloaded material to harass, impersonate, expose private information or violate the rights of another person.
- Fraudulent rights claims. Do not misrepresent ownership, authorization or legal entitlement to use media.
Respect the rules of the website where the media originates
Third-party platforms may impose their own terms, technical limitations, creator settings or download restrictions. VidoSave does not grant users an exemption from those rules.
References to third-party platforms identify link sources or technical compatibility only. They do not imply sponsorship, partnership, ownership or permission from those services to download every item that may be publicly accessible.
VidoSave is built around supported public links
The normal VidoSave workflow is link-based and does not require a VidoSave account. VidoSave does not present private-account access, password collection or circumvention of access controls as features of the service.
If a source does not make a usable media option available to the current workflow, the appropriate result may simply be that the link cannot be processed.
Before downloading, make a quick rights check
A short review can prevent many avoidable copyright, privacy and provider-rule problems.
You are responsible for the use you make of downloaded media
Users should evaluate the rights and restrictions relevant to their own situation. VidoSave cannot determine every copyright license, private agreement, jurisdiction-specific exception or intended downstream use associated with a submitted URL.
Users should also avoid assuming that a lawful download automatically authorizes public reposting, commercial use, modification, sublicensing or redistribution. Those are separate questions that may require separate permission.
Copyright owners can report specific concerns
If you believe a specific VidoSave access path implicates your copyrighted work, use the Copyright & DMCA Policy and provide enough information for the complaint to be meaningfully reviewed.
Specific rights complaints should identify the protected work, the exact material or access at issue, the sender’s contact information and the basis for the claim.

Responsible Use FAQ
Can I download a video just because it is publicly visible?
Not automatically. Public visibility does not by itself establish ownership, a license or permission to download, copy, repost or redistribute the media.
Can I use VidoSave to save my own videos?
Saving media you created or lawfully control is a typical responsible-use case, subject to any third-party rights, contracts or provider restrictions that may also apply.
What if a creator gave me permission?
Permission from the relevant rights holder may provide a valid basis for the permitted use, but the scope of that permission matters. Permission to save a copy does not necessarily authorize every form of republication or commercial use.
Does VidoSave support private-account access?
No. VidoSave does not present private-account access, password collection or circumvention of access controls as features of the public-link workflow.
Does using VidoSave transfer copyright to me?
No. Processing or saving a media file does not transfer copyright, ownership or reuse rights. Those rights remain governed by the rights holder, applicable licenses and applicable law.
What should I do if I am unsure whether a download is permitted?
Do not rely only on technical availability. Check the source rules, the rights holder’s permission, any applicable license and the intended use. If the situation is legally uncertain, consider obtaining qualified advice.
Use technology with permission, context and respect for rights
VidoSave is designed to make supported public-link processing straightforward while keeping responsibility for copyright, permissions, privacy and provider rules visible rather than hidden.
